One day ArchAngel Michael appeared to an individual who had been calling his name for what seemed like an eon in time to the individual, but as a single breath to ArchAngel Michael.
‘What is it you ask of me, my Beloved’ – he asked, as he lovingly obliged by appearing in the expected form that the individual chose to recognise as ArchAngel Michael.

“Thank you for answering my prayers. Each day I have asked for help with raising enough money to clothe and feed my family and provide them with all the things they deserve to have. Each day I struggle to work two jobs to barely get by from one pay check to the next. What should I do”?

‘My beloved Child – I have a job for you to do. You are to stop your current work and go to the Retirement Home at the end of your road and offer your services. You will need to look after the individuals there in their twilight years and help them towards meeting their maker, when the time comes’.

“Ok, if that is what I must do then I thank you ArchAngel Michael”.

Several months later, AA Michael was once again drawn to the incessant prayers of the same individual asking for the same things as months before.

‘What is it you ask of me, my Beloved’ – he asked once again.

“Well, I went along to that job you recommended and it didn’t pay as much as I am earning now, the hours were longer and they wanted me to work alternative weekends too. And the job required me to change the bedpans and clean up any mistakes and stay with them as they passed and then prepare their rooms for the next individual coming in. I can’t do all that Michael, that is not what I want to do, or where I want to be. How can earning less and working more help my family. I didn’t see the point at all”.

‘That’s OK my child – I gave that job to someone else’.

“Oh really. They were happy to do it were they? Good for them. It is not something I would want to do. Are they still there”?

‘Oh no, my beloved child. They have moved on. For you see, shortly after they started their work, a man entered the Retirement Home. He was terminally ill and did not have long to live. He had no visitors while he was there for he had no family. He had worked hard all his life and now life was coming to its end for him. He spent his last few weeks talking about his life, his achievements and how hard he had worked building up a successful business which he had only just sold as there was no-one else to continue to run it.
No-one that is – until he met someone who showed him kindness, compassion and love, who fed him and cleaned him in his last few days, who spent long hours listening to his stories without judgement or contempt. And in those last few moments, that old man made a decision that he knew would outlive him but continue in the hearts of others to enjoy all he had spent his life working towards.
So there is someone who now no longer has to work anymore or worry about money – because they now have more enough to comfortably live on and take care of their own family. You see my beloved, you never know what will come from being kind, caring and compassionate as nothing that is offered from the heart is ever wasted or forgotten.

Especially not by me’.
