A man who had spent some time visiting foreign lands returned home to the city of his birth.

Before he entered the city gates, he walked up to an Olive tree and started pulling leafy twigs off its branches. He weaved them into an olive wreath and placed it upon his head.

He walked into the city displaying a proud swagger waving and nodding towards all those around him. He spoke to all who would listen to him about his amazing adventures and great deeds he had done while he was away. He particularly enjoyed telling the story of how he had been chosen to take part in the mighty Olympian games against the best athletes of other countries, and had received applause and was bestowed great honours including the Olive Wreath he wore upon his head.

Each time he told his story, he added further achievements about how he had jumped higher, leaped further and thrown discs and javelin far more distance than anyone else. He stated that a large number of people has seen all he had done and that he was well known amongst them.

“It is a pity that none of you know a great athlete, because any one of them could give testimonial as to who I am and what I have done” – he boasted.

“No need for us to know great men” – said one of the listeners – “we don’t have to go there and ask them to find out if what you say is true. You can still run, you can still jump, you can still throw, right here and now, so go ahead, demonstrate your greatness”.

The demonstration of achievement is laid upon a bedrock of Truth built from dedication, perseverance and results. Claims that have been built upon sand, will soon crumble and fall away when held accountable for what soon proves false.

And the Moral of the story is:
Deeds count, not false words.

History is filled with the stories of those who claim great deeds and remarkable achievements and you live within the manifestations of their creative ideas and victorious endeavours brought into life for all to benefit from.

Equally, there are many others who seek to capitalise on other’s works for personal gain, to make false claims and fantastic stories which tell of their intellect or miraculous encounters that raise them up from common ilk to that of idol requiring praise and worship. In modern terms, this is the aim of marketing promotion to aid the sale and create the illusion of obtaining goods and services that are much desired and without them, you would be less than others who have already.

The value of Self Worth cannot be sustained by false projection – relying solely on the attention of Others to support and sustain the projection, corrupts the Self to live a life of darkness whilst reflecting the Light of Others. Only through Truth can one live a truthful life of fulfilment and fueled by Divine Grace. The Light of the Universe does not find a place within falseness, that is the role of the Dark.
