The Belagines – The Harmonious Laws of Zalmoxis
Six Scrolls of Ancient Wisdom

Zalmoxis enters walking slowly but with purpose, the presence of a Wise Being all about him. He wears two robes, one brown which wraps around his body, the other Snowy white which flows to the ground, with a large hood which covers his unseen head and face, which he throws back with a sudden flourish. He leans upon his Staff of darkened wood with both hands and pauses, raising his head with a beaming smile that shines out from his long silver hair and bushy grey beard that merge into one. His look is of the White Wizard, ancient, frail in form, but strong and knowledgeable with a twinkle in his eye. 

“Watch this” – he says, pointing his finger to the sky, energy pours out from his hand, and the clouds high up begin to change shape and structure. He shows that he can command nature, enough to demonstrate his ability but not enough to reveal his true power. He speaks with a rich voice that commands respect – “they call me a Holy Man”, he says, declaring the perception of the time, “but I am more like a Man who knows Magic. Magic is just a way of presenting the unknown to those who are not aware of what can be known. I teach people to find their own magic, no more”.  He casts his upturned hand before him, like he is sowing seeds into fertile ground. “All are like seeds”, he continues, ” all have the seed of the God-self within them ready to grow, to combine what is below with that which is above. To find balance, one has to discover what lies within, bringing the energy into the body from the Soul”.

He continues his speech, explaining how he gathers together groups of no more than seven, eight with him in total. They sit in a circle around a central fire, the hearth, which represents the Eternal Living Sacred Fire Light that burns within the hearts of all of mankind. 

“This is how I teach the Laws of Nature, and in a similar way to you Polaris. I was taught and shown by God through my observation and awareness of the nature of Man and Beast and in all things. God as which All that is, there is no other, the Gods that others speak of are all humans, they have become Gods and Goddesses, but they are not a Kingship of their own by trying to overpower others, they are Gods as All are, all are different and yet the same, each one of them tied to a differing element of their beingness, a chosen Way of Being, the element that was missing that was needed to balance, it has never changed within their Soul, but they have overcome that and found it within them – for that is what all must do to recognise the inner power of their true self, not through overpowering and seeking recognition of others. I am also called a God because I understand how to work with the elements, but to me, I am a man who is an Observer of Nature”. 

“Mother Earth provides all the elements needed for All things to find balance, but there are those who are trying to take away these elements and have caused imbalance, so she will have to take herself back, as they are destroying and corrupting the elements and if they do not exist on Earth, then humanity is in danger of losing its balance and in turn, its own existence.

What is above must be balanced with what is below. What is within must be balanced with what is in all. What is to the Left must balanced with what is to the right. What is behind must be balanced with what lies ahead. To find the missing element within the Self is to remove the labels that one has created around the Self. If you choose to label that which you are, then you will not recognise that which you are meant to become. For you are far more than what you already know your Self to be. Bring together all the elements within, for only through balancing all that you are will you achieve your own harmonious nature. Call the Elements to you, know their nature as the Self within becomes the God / Goddess.  Know that in which you are”.

Zalmoxis of Dacia

History of Zalmoxis – the Dacian-Getae Supreme Deity
Zalmoxis, once believed to be a slave of Pythagoras but also noted as a student of Philosophy. He lived in Dacia, as part of the Thracian tribes in what is now the Carpathian Mountains of modern day Romania around 500 B.C. He is referred to in several ancient writings by Plato and Herodotus who describe him as a man who became a great physician and philosopher and taught the Dacians the belief that neither they nor their descendants would ever die, but instead would go to a place where they would live forever in complete happiness as immortals. 

His teachings raised him up above his fellow man and he was regarded as a King and Leader amongst them. In similar analogy to the later resurrection of Jesus, Zalmoxis disappeared from the Thracians for three years, living below ground in an underground residence, (there are many stories of underground tunnels, portals and vast caverns below the mountains all across Romania). He later returned and ‘re-appeared’ amongst them. Having feared him to be dead and greatly missing their leader, they honoured and revered his return as being proof of what he had taught them as being immortal beings and he was raised to the status of a God as their chief and supreme deity. This adopted belief made them formidable in battle which commanded great respect from their enemies.

The teachings of Zalmoxis or Harmonious Laws of Nature became known as The Belagines, which according to the historical writer, Jordanes, were given to the Goths by Decineus, the Dacian-Getic Zalmoxian priest and Legislator at the time of great King Burebista 82-44 B.C who successfully unified the tribes of the Dacian, Thracian and Getae kingdoms.
